Hurricane Vendetta is my latest project. I’ve been billing this my “Teen Girl Revenge Whale” story.

In a world of water and sparse islands, Vanessa is a teenage girl who learns to surf and also learns she can talk to whales. Her story kicks off after she gets expelled from her rich private school for telling The Truth (TM). To get away from her woes, Vanessa goes to live with her aunt for a summer on one of the smaller islands on the outskirts of civilization where there are those who commune with nature and those who consume it. Vanessa’s life changes when she learns to surf, learns she can talk to whales and learns there are some people who cannot be trusted.

These are the original set of six pages I had created about Hurricane Vendetta to pitch to publishers, back when I thought this was going to be yet another graphic novel project. Read and enjoy.
